Electric propulsion for gliders

Mutual cooperation of MGM COMPRO and the new Russian partner brings a very interesting way of rebuilding the glider into an electric version.

Russians are very popular for their original inventions and one of the MGM COMPRO projects proves this on 100 %.
The main idea of Mr. Antonov (our partner) was to use two 71cm propellers, both based on the electric propulsion to give thrust to the glider.

The task for MGM COMPRO was to come with an appropriate solution in about 2 months, quite challenging task, but we made it!

MGM COMPRO Electric Propulsion System in details

  •  Motor REG 30 (12 kW)
  •  Electronic Speed Controller HBC 25063
  • Batteries Kokam 40 Ah 14s
  • Balancing Chargers 30A
  • Airborne BMS
  • Two-blades propeller 71 cm

A great reward for our engineers: an amazing flight of this two-motor glider above the beautiful Russian countryside. Don’t hesitate to check this out!
